Over the years, Cory Countryman has been a leading figure in regional healthcare, serving in senior and executive roles at hospitals in Texas, Nevada, and elsewhere. Beginning as Manager of Admissions, Insurance Verification, and Bed Control for the Zale Lipshy University Hospital at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Mr. Countryman embarked on a prolific career in healthcare administration, marked by achievements in facilities expansion, patient care, and budget management. After three years with Zale Lipshy, he accepted a role as Manager of Admissions and Business Services at Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, followed by a period in the Healthcare Consulting Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers. From there, he undertook responsibilities as Project Manager for Zimmerman and Associates and Business Office Director at Palestine Regional Medical Center before joining the administrative team at Odessa Regional Hospital. During this time, Cory Countryman enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, and he earned his degree in 2004.

After completing his M.B.A., Mr. Countryman became Chief Operating Officer at North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the 198-bed hospital until 2005. He went on to spend eight years in various executive capacities with Community Health Systems, a major acute care provider active throughout the United States. He has worked for Community Health Systems hospitals in Texas, serving as Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Weatherford Regional Medical Center and CEO of the Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Currently, he serves as CEO of Weatherford Regional Medical Center, a position he accepted in December 2010.
