Having grown up in Marietta, Georgia, Cory graduated from his local high school before enrolling at Ferris State University whose main campus can be found at Big Rapids in Michigan. Ferris State opened its doors as the Big Rapids Industrial School back in 1884; founded by Helen and Woodbridge Ferris, it eventually attained state institution status in 1950 before finally gaining recognition as a state university seven decades later. Nowadays it is recognized for providing students with an abundance of educational resources which will aid them in developing into successful professionals.
