My name is Cory. I'm 31 years old a full-time student, and I work at a Fortune 500 company as a contractor. I've been married for seven years (been together a total of eight) and have a seven-year-old son. I'm pursuing a Bachelors of Computer Science, Specializing in Apple iOS App Development. I live in Morganton, North Carolina. I was a Sergeant in the North Carolina Army National Guard until I got medically discharged on December 2nd, 2017 and served since October 2008.

My interests are coding, hiking, fishing, spending quality time with my wife, and playing with my son. Between spending time with my family, going to school, and having drills with the Guard, I'm teaching myself how to code. I want to build apps for a living. I chose Mobile App Programming because I love that I can use code to bring something to life. I chose Graphic Design so I could learn how to design and not have to hire a designer for my apps. Around February of 2016, I found a site called Udemy.com, and I could learn anything that's of interest to me. I found a free iOS coding course and tried it out. The course was more of a "do this and do that, " but the instructor never went into detail what done what and why. I found another course that had excellent reviews, but it wasn't free. I thought to myself "if it has awesome reviews then it must be a great course to take." I took the course, and I love it. I haven't finished it, but I don't regret spending the $25 to take the course. My passion is Swift (Apple's coding language) and Web Development, and I would love to learn more about it as that's the programming language I want to workwith inmy career because I'm a huge Apple fan!!!! I do plan on learning the Android language as well. My biggest goal is to work from home that way I can set my hours.
