Emma Cosgrove

Hey there.

I'm a first year Ryerson student living in Mississauga, specifically the Port Credit area. I am beginning my Bachelor of Journalism, which is daunting, exciting, and fascinating. I love the location of the Ryerson campus--being immersed right in the heart of the city, surrounded by a myriad of people and events and stories and ideas, is something I have always wanted to experience.

As of right now I hope to get into reporting on arts and culture for a newspaper, magazine, or online publication. Ideally, I would love to end up living downtown, covering stories on music and visual art. I am also eager to dive into the realm of social justice writing, mainly pertaining to women's rights and achievements.

In my spare time I like to make art, write poetry and journals, listen to vinyl, and go to local Toronto shows at cozy venues. I love every dog I meet unconditionally, and believe the bicycle is the best invention in the known universe and ride mine everywhere.
