This is my second arrangement of these the last set lastest 10 years. You need to change the Bass and Mid range down to get less contortion. Ive heard JBL,Pioneer and other more costly Marine speakers and they don't sound any better. Like anything simply don't turn the BASS up excessively or the MID RANGE and these will last a long-term.
