Hello, my name is Coty Jacobs. I served in the United States Army for 5 years and 4 months as an infantryman. During my time in the Army I completed the Leadership course for professional development. I have been trained in suicide prevention (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). I am goal-oriented with leadership capabilities.
Currently, I am attending Brookhaven Community College to earn my Associates in Applied Sciences degree. Furthermore, I plan to continue my education at the University of North Texas simultaneously in the Fall of 2016. At UNT I plan to earn my Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Applied Technology & Performance Improvement. I aspire to gain the knowledge and training necessary through my higher education experience in order to further my career and be highly trained in a variety of positions.
I am highly active in Brookhaven Community College’s Student Veteran Association (SVA) since Fall 2015. I am the recipient of the Randall and Sherry Reed Advantage Scholarship of January 2016. I am a self-motivator, determined, and flexible to any changes in my work place environment.
