Coup d'etat
Five piece group based in the Lothians, Scotland. Band members; Ricky Toner (vocals, rhythm guitar + blues harp), Stu McKeen (lead guitar + vocals), Andrew Tait (lead/rhythm guitar + vocals), Daniel Garvie (bass guitar) & Richie Woodbridge (drums). We are influenced by 1960's Garage, Psychedelic, R 'n' B, Freakbeat and Folk Rock music. The band formed in 2008 and the line was only complete in the Winter of 2010 with our first gigs played in December of the same year. We have played a number of gigs including support slots with Les Bof! Bez (Happy Mondays), Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) & Chris Helme (The Seahorses). The band are now performing at Mod/Scooter Rallies across Britain including Kelso Scooter Rally and Millport Scooter Festival. We have recently performed at the prestigious Bottom Rung Festival in Edinburgh exclusive to Garage Beat groups. A single is planned for release on Red Telephone Records in Autumn 2011. We will be playing live to promote this single and will be in a Town/City near you please come along and enjoy our brand of music.
