I used to shop every week for my family of three and spend $150 - $185 for groceries. About a year and a half ago I started clipping coupons. It started with a few coupons the first time I clipped. Then I searched the internet finding bunches of sites to clip and print coupons. I was so excited I bought a binder and organized my 20 (maybe) coupons. I was saving a few dollars depending on the coupons I had and the sales going on. I now have coupons for everything! I don't go to the store without going on the internet looking for coupons for items I don't already have a coupon for. I save 50% almost every visit to the store. I am nothing like the extreme couponers but I do shop for what I need and buy realistically. I don't have 30+ hours a week to put into searching and clipping so it is chalked up as a hobby for me but, the savings is such a great payoff for the 1-2 hours I put in a week.
