I'm thirty-four years old, have two children, and have found myself at a crossroads, as cliched as that sounds. I'm looking forward to new beginnings, while remembering the past as learning experiences. I'm living in the present, however, as new exciting things are on the way, I feel. I began as a reader. Summers as a child I spent reading everything I could carry out of our public library. I read classics by choice. My favorite modern author is Wally Lamb. I am an avid movie-watcher, especially loving scary movies. I play the guitar and flute. My prized material possession, one of the things I would grab if my house was engulfed in an inferno of flames, is my Taylor acoustic guitar. It would go in this order; children, pictures, cats, and guitars. Well, the cats could probably make it out on their own, really, so the order of that list could potentially change. I began as a teenager writing in journals. I wrote what I called poetry, inspired by Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost, a few of my favorite poets as a teenager. I have many journals filled with my thoughts and poetry. If I could make a living writing poetry, that's what I would do. It is mostly for my own enjoyment. I've written some short stories, but I have trouble finishing them. I have one that has become something beyond short, so I don't know if it will turn into a novella or what. So, that is basically me. I am totally dedicated to my children and my life will always revolve around them. Anyway, that is me, as best as I can explain. I also have a slightly sarcastic sense of humor and laugh at inappropriate things at times. Not funerals or anything, but my sense of humor is "different."
