Courtney D'Angelo

The Strengths Quest assignment was my favorite that we did the whole year. It helped me to understand where my strengths lie and how I can use them to my advantage. One of my strengths is Futurist. To me this means that I am always looking ahead and constantly thinking of the possibilities. This ability allows me to clearly picture the next step. I have a strong vision of where I see myself in 5 years, 10 years, etc. I'm a dreamer who gets lost in her thoughts, which I think is a clear embodiment of someone with Futuristic as their top strength.

Another assignment we completed this semester was the My Ohio State Traditions project. For this activity we were required to select an OSU tradition that we like or identify with. I chose Script Ohio because my grandpa was in the Ohio State marching band and even dotted the "i". Through research I learned the origins of this tradition and it helped me connect to both my family and my new role as an OSU student.

One last assignment was Lessons From A First Year Buckeye. For this project we were to create a list of tips for hypothetical incoming students. This was a good activity as it allowed me to explore what I did and didn't like about my first semester here and how I can adjust for the future.
