The Courtney Winfrey Project

A Pop Culture enthusiast and self-proclaimed Renaissance Women, Courtney Winfrey is an up-and-coming blogger/writer who enjoys all things trendy. Courtney is an ambitious and conscious mind trying to charm the world with her passion and wit. A Joliet, IL native, Courtney developed a love for rhetoric as a historian at Joliet Central High School. At the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana, Courtney earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science with a concentration in Human Communication Studies.

In 2013, Courtney created her network; The Courtney Winfrey (CW) Project, to house positive content that will change the misconstrued voice of the Millennial. As a content writer, she aspires to release webseries, vlogs, and thought provoking blogs that will engage and interact with her audience. With great aspiration to become an award winning writer and motivational speaker, Courtney has fashioned her platform to serve her subscribers with a message that is love based and fun.

As a driven community activist, Courtney has a strong affinity for giving back and inspiring young women. Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, Courtney hopes to create an additional platform to focus on the empowerment of People of Color and our youth today. She currently sits as the Membership Chair of the YWCA – Future Leaders Councils who's mission is to support and empower women and eliminate racism.

Courtney is also a small business owner. The CW Project offers services in regards to facilitation in brand/talent building, digital marketing strategies, freelance writing, and live-event social media stewardship.

As Courtney grows closer to her dreams she constantly remembers to keep God first and know that all things are possible through him. She is greatly supported by her family and friends and hopes to become a household name.
