Courtney McDermott

Courtney has a diverse professional background, and has worked previously as a program director in a non-profit agency providing vocational rehabilitation services to adults with psychiatric disabilities, and as a psychotherapist in private practice. However, the majority of Courtney’s prior experience is in higher education, where she has held positions in student affairs, residence life, as well as graduate and law admissions.

Courtney holds a bachelor of arts degree from the State University of New York College at Oneonta, where she majored in political science. In 2007, Courtney earned a master of science degree in counseling from Pace University.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Courtney is very active in local community and faith-based organizations, including currently serving in leadership capacities for two agencies servicing individuals with developmental disabilities.

Currently, Courtney finds herself at a juncture, at which she is eager to shift direction out of enrollment management and into a student affairs position with a counseling foundation.
