My Artist Staement;

I love to adorn my body. It is why I am driven to make work and it is what humans have done since the beginning of time. One may say that outside appearances are irrelevant to whom a person is, but the way we adorn and present ourselves is a powerful way to express our internal world.

I'm inspired by nature and am interested in elements that aren't usually considered beautiful. I transform them by using seductive materials that can be viewed as beautiful, glamorous and soft to the touch. Color plays an important role in how we express ourselves. Enameling is a process that I have fallen in love with and it has given me a way to add color to my work. I can approach color in a spontaneous manner while expressing aspects of myself through both color and form.

Wearing my work is just as important to me as making it. I choose to use jewelry as a format because it allows me to feel and experience my work long after the making process. Wearing my jewelry is the most satisfying way for me to adorn my body, it also drives me to make more because there can never be enough choices.
