Courtney Day

The best word to describe myself is involved. From my hobbies to my career, I have a wide variety of interests with the intention of living my life to the fullest.

Growing up as a student athlete has helped me become the young adult I am today. It was through sports that I learned the importance of teamwork, dedication, ethics and honing my "never give up" mentality. Playing sports also taught me the importance of setting goals and reaching for the stars to succeed in order to make it at the next level.

Professionally, I have channeled my inner athlete to focus on public relations, marketing and event coordination. After graduating from CSU, Long Beach with a degree in International Studies, I started my career as a PR Specialist with GolinHarris (GH). At GH, I dabbled in media relations for name brand clients such as Nestle and AEG and traveled with the 2011 Amgen Tour of California (a Tour-de-Francesqe cycling race).

From PR at GH, I switched gears to Marketing at Murad, a prestigious, doctor-developed skincare company. Murad prepared me to manage brands as we expanded the different product lines.

From Muard, I continue my journey working at Competitor Group, the leading global media and event entertainment company dedicated to promoting an active lifestyle.

Additionally, I have a passion for raising funds and awareness for worthwhile causes by working with charities and volunteering at local community events. I consider myself a "connector" and take extreme pride in helping others connect with like-minded individuals within their community.

In working for globally-known companies such as Competitor Group, Murad and GolinHarris and with nonprofits such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, B.R.A.I.N. and For Elizabeth, I have become accustomed to networking with companies, communities and people. It is my ultimate goal to never stop learning and growing, to think outside the box and to help others thrive.
