A DC Metropolitan native, Courtney has a passion for building long lasting trustworthy relationships with the media as well as her clients. After graduating from Spelman College with a bachelor of arts in English with a concentration of Sports Journalism, Courtney has utilized her skills and connections to gain experience in the public relations and sports communication fields. Interning for the Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic, Atlanta Falcons Football Communications Department, Georgia State University’s Sports Information Department, and CNN’s morning show Newsroom with Carol Costello, Courtney was able to gain much knowledge and hands on experience in the news and sports media industry. Courtney currently works as TV One’s Multimedia Junior Publicist for NewsOne Now with veteran award-winning journalist Roland S. Martin. In her role as multimedia junior publicist, Courtney combines her experience in linear-editing and writing like a journalist with her ability to pitch strategically to promote the only morning news show dedicated to issues affecting America’s black community.

Courtney is a self-proclaimed foodie and coffee snob. Since returning from college, she has been studying American Sign Language for the last 4 years in hopes of becoming a certified interpreter. She is also very involved in her local church, From the Heart Church Ministries, Inc. and it’s K-12 school From the Heart Christian School as the assistant cheerleading coach and featured choreographer..
