Courtney Sandlin

I am currently in the Rotational Development Program at Intuit under the Human Resources Track. What this means is (1) I work for an awesome company and (2) that I get to have 4 6-month rotations within the HR field, trying out a variety of roles and having the ability to make an impact on the teams that I am in. Although I have just started in this, and that I officially started my first rotation in the HR Connect team, I have absolutely loved my experience and would recommend it to anyone and everyone who isn't 100% sure what they want to do after they graduate from college. To give you some backstory, I was a student who majored in Communication with Annenberg's School for Communication and had a minor in Two Dimensional Studies with Roski's School of Fine Arts at the University of Southern California. From my studies at USC, I took the opportunity to study abroad and learn about some of the different cultures in Europe. This experience lead to my passion and hunger for learning about other cultures, customs, ways of life, and customer empathy. I plan on moving back to Europe in the future, to continue to learn more about a global corporate culture.

After I received my undergraduate degree in May of 2013, I spent the summer travelling to Naples, the Amalfi Coast, Cairo, and all over Costa Rica. When I'm not planning my next adventure, I'm typically playing with my 110+ pound Saint Bernard, Bosley.

My professional experience includes: social media strategies & implementation, social media management, marketing, branding, sourcing/recruiting, design, photography, event planning, customer service, organizational skills, and technological capabilities. With my new role I will be an HR Generalist where I will be able to learn a broad sense of the HR organization within Intuit and really develop a deep customer empathy, while hoping to have an impact on the products and services that we offer.
