Courtney Stanford

I gained an interest in art as far back as I can remember. Throughout the years, what I produce, why, and why I made something the way I did has never changed. I don’t try to be didactic, convey a social issue, propaganda, or some type of thought provoking work of art. My art is simply art. I like to create whatever comes to mind; regarding my drawings and paintings, it can be weird, disorganized, clean, or technical, but my main subject appears to be people. Mediums that I work with include oil and acrylic paint, watercolor, pencil, charcoal, fabric and spray paint. Being that I’m a fashion student, I mainly like designing urban wear and making technical flats; but my interest is constantly expanding. I love the idea of young adults wearing my art. The best thing about it is that the person wearing my art is showcasing it to the world and making it their own. My clothing and shoe designs are comfortable and stylish; awaiting to take on another identity.
