I was born in a small town in Louisiana to a musician father and a mother that was an educator. When a talented musician and a super intellect get together you would expect a super baby. Well, no you get me LOL! My parents separated when I was 2 years old and divorced MANY years later LOL! I began singing as soon as I was able to talk. Though raised in an extremely Jesus centered household we had very little musical restrictions. In our house Jesus was cool. We listened to ALL genres of music! At the age of two I was the youngest member of our town's Community choir.
At 5 years old my family moved to the Bay Area of California, specifically Richmond. Growing up in the Bay Area is an experience that you can't buy. There are so many different arts forms and venues in one area. Living there teaches you respect for ALL cultures and ethnicities. When I was 9 years old I started writing music and playing the drums. While attending college at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA, I had the privilege of being vocally trained by Silvester Henderson, who was also trainer to Bette Midler, Billy Porter and a number of Broadway shows.
At the age of 25 I moved to Atlanta, GA in search of new musical opportunities. I played the drums at one of the largest churches in the Atlanta metro area, World Changers Church International. I was also able to sing and play the drums for a number of different musicians on a secular level: Norman Conners, Jean Carne, Darryl Coley, Tony Terry and more.
In 2010, I relocated to Louisiana to make fresh start. While living here I became an online Student at Full Sail University pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Entertainment Business. My perspective graduation date is June 7, 2013. While living in Louisiana I had the chance to interact with a number of talented local artist and also develop my musical ear and business savvy.
Long story made short I'm in love with music. It's my passion and my heart. I figure I could have been anything in this world but God blessed and anointed me with the gift of music. That is a gift that I don't take lightly nor take for granted. I decided to enter into the entertainment business program so that my career can go have a definite course and I can be the captain of that destiny.
