Christian Outhred

Christian commenced his recruitment career in London in 2002, where he spent six years in the UK tax market - most notably where he account managed sophisticated professional services and banking clients on behalf of the UK’s largest tax search firm.

In 2008, he returned to Australia to set up and lead the Asia Pacific practice for a global taxation recruitment brand. In this capacity he established himself as the preeminent recruiter in the Australian taxation market.

Christian has been responsible for some of the highest profile appointments in the Australian professional services and commerce taxation markets. His clients and candidates appreciate his absolute discretion, integrity, loyalty and honesty: mutually beneficial relationships are central to his approach.

Christian now manages Maven Partners’ Asia Pacific practice, and is a key advisor and supplier to most of the region’s largest employers of taxation professionals.

Christian has lived in Australia, United States, United Kingdom and Italy, and has travelled to more than 40 countries. He enjoys Melbourne’s outstanding restaurants and South Australian Shiraz. He has an uncanny memory for pointless sporting facts and statistics, was in younger times an accomplished footballer and cricketer and is a member and lifetime follower of Carlton Football Club.
