Reggie has had to overcome several challenging aspects of fatherhood in his adult life, as well.

Reggie’s passion for youth was centered around his desire to have a connection with his father growing up. Football was an outlet for several years as a teenager, then other negative coping mechanisms became the norm as he became a father while in college. His life spiraled out of control and it was with his faith he found value again.

In 1998, Reggie began working with fathers at The Family Resource Centers of Rochester. He has been working with fathers for twelve years and as a result he has gained vast knowledge in determining and providing resources for their needs. In 2004, Reggie was able to pursue a pastoral position with The Salvation Army. His experience as a pastor allowed him to hear several stories of painful relationships of fathers not mended from the past between fathers and their biological parents and the pattern of these father’s fearing the same fate for their own children. It helped build a greater compassion to help fathers through the church and quality programs addressing these issues and concerns and Changing Lives for Men was born. He found a lot of stigmas caused the father’s to have a negative views in society and he wanted to change view – this while at the sane time empower fathers to be involved in the lives of their children more effectively.
