Other interests and activities include but are not limited to: writing, photography, surfing, exploring, walking through cemeteries, astronomy, the Red Sox, sharks and other scary ocean life, classic films (to me, classic is pre-1950s; I don't consider '80s movies "classic"), organizing on micro and macro levels, politics both local and national, dogs, equal rights activism, moss, NPR, slam poetry, combat gym classes, running, starting books several at a time and rarely finishing them, cooking, drawing with Staedtler pencils, listening to Beethoven, playing on social media, copywriting and editing for work, editing the newspaper for fun (specifically the Portsmouth Herald), Portsmouth history, the West Wing, supporting community health centers, collecting four-leaf clovers, feeling rebellious by staying at home on weekend nights, pub trivia, Jeopardy, shoveling snow, doing crossword puzzles, playing guitar, and... learning about just about everything.
