Chris Praedel

I currently serve as Events and Stewardship Coordinate in the Development & Alumni Relations Office at Western Michigan University.

Outside of office, I like to remain heavily invested in the community. Since 2011, I've been involved with the Kalamazoo Literacy Council (KLC), serving previously as board president, 2013 annual campaign chair, and 40th anniversary chair. My wife and I also mentor a teenage boy through Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS). I also remain active with a local political organization and my church. I recently joined the boards of both the Friends of WMU and the Student Association of Michigan Legacy Foundation.

I also regularly serve as a motivational guest speaker with student groups, provide political consulting and occasionally presents professional development workshops on social media. I am a proud WMU alum, student-body president emeritus and co-founder of the Student Association of Michigan.
