Cary Quattrocchi combines his skills and talents in two seemingly unrelated roles – as the senior project manager with Bluemoon Website Development and as the CEO and co-owner of Cary Quattrocchi’s Ninja Boot Camp. In both of these roles, he puts his time and energies toward creating and managing teams to help his clients fulfill their goals and dreams.
Cary’s education is in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology.
Besides the usual subject matter knowledge he gained about time and people management and web design and security, the most useful skill he developed was the ability to identify and solve problems.
That’s not as simple as it may first seem. What may at first appear to be a problem or an issue—the client needs an online shopping cart or the client can’t get up the Warped Wall—may not be the actual problem, but may just be a symptom of the real problem. Is a website really the best place for the client to sell their products? Should the gym client even be trying the difficult Ninja obstacles right now?
The key to problem solving is active and engaged listening, and that’s one of Cary’s major strengths. He really listens. This skill has taken him far as a project manager, to his current role of overseeing all the digital projects within Bluemoon. He also runs his own projects and teams, as well as mentoring other project managers and team members. Cary is a strong liaison between clients and developers as well as between Board members and management. His ability to understand strategy, technology, business, and user requirements make him an invaluable member of the Bluemoon team, and one who can “translate” between different groups.
Cary takes his project management and problem-solving skills into the Ninja Warrior world of the Boot Camp gym. He works with his team of Ninja Warrior trainers to develop programs that support people in their quest to take part in extreme obstacle courses. He wants people to balance their dreams of having the physical and mental fitness for this task with the realities of where they are now and what they can achieve. He’s worked hard to develop a community of collaboration at the Ninja Boot Camp, and staff and clients regularly participate in volunteer programs for the environment in the local community.
In his spare time, Cary tries to make it to Puget Sound to sea kayak, and he has a regular early morning squash date with a business partner. He al
