Craig Gary
Master Mariner in Charleston, South Carolina
How does one keep a ship afloat? As a Master Mariner, I have been entrusted to do just that. Whether managing unforeseen weather conditions, equipment malfunctions, or lack of procedural structure, I have delivered results.
Throughout my career, I’ve encountered safety hazards, language and cultural barriers, and logistics discrepancies to transform departments from the ground up.
Currently accountable for overseeing day-to-day Marine Department operations and safety aboard one of Seadrill's drillships, I maintain full budgetary authority ensuring P & L results, boost morale and productivity of 30-member department, and evaluate vessel stability data for navigation safety. Having advanced through a number of specialized roles, you will quickly note the strength and scope of my abilities upon reviewing my résumé.
