Hi! I’m Craig. I am an Associate Professor of English at Jackson State University. I teach academic writing, creative writing, histories of rhetorics, and other related courses. I received a PhD from Ohio University in Rhetoric and Composition. My dissertation focused on speech dysfluency and its potential connections to the writing process. As someone that mildly stutters, I was curious about how this influenced my writing. But enough about the diss, you can buy the book in a few years.

My studies have provided me ongoing work in not only Rhetoric and Composition but also literature and creative writing. As such, I’m quite comfortable discussing and teaching literature and creative writing. It has also provided me more complex understanding of other issues like gender identity, and this led me to earning a Women’s and Gender Studies Certificate in 2010.

There is far more to me than a few basic paragraphs can possibly provide, so please feel free to contact me or click over to my LinkedIN account to learn more about me. I'm always seeking new opportunities! Thank you!
