Craig McGrain
A distinguished attorney, Craig McGrain has led an exemplary career providing his legal expertise to the financial industry. A graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, where he obtained a Juris Doctor, Craig McGrain was the recipient of numerous academic scholarships, and he acted as an Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review. Craig McGrain graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York system’s University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Statistics. Craig McGrain earned membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society for his outstanding undergraduate academic work.
Following law school, Craig McGrain joined Nixon Peabody LLP, where he focused on commercial lending and loan restructuring and gained wide exposure to the financial services sector.
As the representative of a number of lenders in bankruptcy and related sectors, Craig McGrain has cultivated a specialty in asset location and seizure litigation in the United States and worldwide. In addition, Craig McGrain possesses highly-developed expertise in negotiating and structuring formula-based lines of credit, complex loan workouts, inter-creditor negotiations, lender liabilities, and bank fraud litigation.
After joining the law firm Hodgson, Russ, Andrews, Woods & Goodyear, LLP, Craig McGrain became a Partner in the company. Heading the firm’s financial services and creditors’ rights practice, Craig McGrain enjoyed a highly productive tenure with Hodgson, Russ, Andrews, Woods & Goodyear, LLP.
Presently, Craig McGrain acts as President of the highly-regarded firm Durham Funding, where he has served for over a decade. Responsible for the complex sales, operations, accounting, and legal operations of the business funding company, Craig McGrain has led the company to its superior position in the industry.
Craig McGrain resides in Pittsford, New York, where he is active in coaching youth in his community. Craig McGrain donates generously to the American Cancer Society.
