Dr. Craig Uffman is a theologian and ordained minister who serves as the Rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. His Ph.D. dissertation in theology and ethics at Durham University (UK) is on the virtue ethics of Richard Hooker, particularly as it pertains to 'how the mind of Christ is formed in community,' in conversation with the ecclesial ethics of Thomas Aquinas, Karl Barth, Stanley Hauerwas, and Sam Wells.

Before completing his research at Durham University (UK), Craig attended Duke University (M.Div) and the United States Naval Academy (B.S., General Engineering, Economics). Married with three adult children and two younger kids, Craig served in the US Navy as a nuclear submarine officer before beginning a business career. He served as president of a high technology company in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for several years, and is the author of a book on small business lending in the credit union industry.
