In Pattaya you'll be bombarded with tastes and smells from a wide selection of cuisines. Determining where you will dine for the day could be the decision of-the day.

As I write this can be about 33 Baht to at least one US dollar approximate prices will be listed by me in Thai Baht and the exchange rate.

Break fast is cheap in Pattaya. You will get basic fare for around 50 to 80 baht which consists of eggs and bacon, toast, juice and coffee. A much better option may be the hotel buffet. The Lek Hotel, Apex and Diana Inn o-n 2nd Road all have buffets for about 11-0 Baht. Lots of food but nothing really spectacular.

I choose to have a large morning meal but one that also tastes good. If you think you know anything at all, you will likely wish to check up about italian sausage. The best are at the Sportsman o-n Soi 1-3. They've a full English morning meal for around 240 Baht. Then you just walk around for the many companies and see what you like. All of the food is Thai and there is from soup, to rice dishes to crackers. Beverages and dessert will also be available. Most of the meals have been in the 30-40 Baht range.

For lunch, I get some good grain and meat and usually stop at a street vendor. There's several street vendors, or an outside food court on Soi Buakhao just north of Soi LK Metro. The northernmost merchant is the best. He's boiled baked red pork, fried pork, and chicken. All dishes have rice and cost 25-30 Baht. A bottle of water is an additional 1-0 Baht.
