Joe Galliani
Joe Galliani began making his living full time as a writer/creative director in 1988 when he started working with Mattel Toys as his client. He spent the next decade writing Toy Fair scripts (for Barbie, Disney, Nickelodeon, Polly Pocket and many other characters); award shows, product videos, live tributes and special events; and executive speeches and presentations. Before he left Mattel Joe co-created the popular Street Sharks toy line and watched its characters become a successful worldwide animated series, Halloween costumes, snack food items, hand puppets and dozens of other licensed products.
From 1988 to 2011 Joe wrote and creative directed projects for Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, Honda, Sony, Toyota, Tangle Toys, Washington Mutual, Hewlett Packard, Dow Chemical, Hasbro Toys, Lexus and EcoMedia-CBS for whom he wrote the CBS Green Report in 2010 and 2011.
In 1997 Joe co-founded The Parks Company to preserve, protect and promote America's National Parks. Joe's reach expanded to include brand creation, product development, national partnerships and promotions and government relations. 16 years later The Parks Company is still here.
When Joe turned 50 in September of 2007 his focus and attention turned full time to the environment and actively responding to climate change. Joe began writing his Creative Greenius blog the month after that birthday and has been writing about South Bay, California and national environmental issues for the past six years.
During that same period Joe became an advocate and community organizer on behalf of solar energy, sustainability issues, carbon neutral cities, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, bikeability, walkability and mitigating climate change.
Joe's experiences in the corporate world, nonprofit world, building coalitions and working with elected officials make for highly effective skill sets now employed on behalf of the South Bay 350 Climate Action Group, South Bay Bicycle Coalition, The Livability Committee of the Blue Zones Projects and 350.org
