It was a dark and lugubrious the night of my birth and all is but a foggy memory. All I can remember was being jolted alive by an intense amount of force and the sight of the man whom created me rush out of the room because of the monstrosity he had created. At the time I had no idea what was going on and it was awhile until I put the peaces together and realized the feeling he had towards me. Realizing the grotesqueness of my existence only occurred after I attempted to integrate myself into society, only to be shunned by everyone who locked sight of me. During my time in society I happened across a family of four who drew my attention because of my loneliness. Seeing them together, I yearned for their friendship. Knowing that normal people would shudder at the sight of me I targeted to old man, De Lacey, so I could win him over as a friend so he could tell everyone else that I was not a bad guy, but surely enough there was no fairy tail ending here. His family walked in and chased me away. "At that instant the cottage door was opened, and Felix, Safie, and Agatha entered. … I quitted the cottage, and in the general tumult escaped unperceived to my hovel." (Chapter 15). Being as clueless as I was like a newborn infant I was confused about why I was despised so thoroughly until I witnessed my repulsiveness looking into a mirror. It was shocking to see the sight of an eight foot monster stitched together with old ragged parts like a patchy old sweater. Enraged like a bull at the sight of red, I swore revenge on my creator for creating me this way and throwing me away into this cruel world. Two wrongs do not make a right, yet I became engulfed in my rage and caused the deaths of my creator’s family. Not wanting to be the evil monster that society saw me as I decided I would leave everyone alone if I had a female companion by my side, but yet again I was screwed by my creator and he didn’t follow through with our arrangement so I killed his friend. Now he will live the life that I was forced to live. Just like Adam from Paradise Lost I was forsaken, but unlike him, I have done something about it.
