I know I belong in San Francisco, I'm just not sure when... so after over a decade of "Welcome Aboard. Bienvenue a bord" it was time to say "Buh-bye" to the friendly skies and hello to... the San Francisco Bay Ferry. A bartender on the Sausalito Ferry or Oakland/Alameda would have to have some extraordinary stories, so I became one and just one BART Strike later, the dedicated ferry-riders proclaimed me their @FerryBartender. As such, I founded the San Francisco FROG (Ferry Riders Opinion Group). Forging my own path to personal success, one that champions my passion for place and people, garnered me a spot on the Placemaking Leadership Council and affords me the luxury to spend my days crafting Detours (audio and AX geo-locative walking tours) that really are "Stories that take you places." I even find myself co-creating with amazing talents (like my brother Tom) and it is incredibly rewarding for us to work on a project that celebrates fine storytelling and gives a healthy chunk of the proceeds to a local related nonprofit of #Better Cities into my personal and professional life and to the San Francisco with The Living City exhibition, The Treasure Island Music Festival Ferry, and Fantasy Ferry to the North Pole for disadvantaged youth. I participate in the Sausalito Arts Festival, the Mid-Market Prototyping Festival, and Sandbox/Come Out and Play Festival. You can find me often meandering about on Telegraph Hill engaging with the present and the past or some other remarkable patch of soil in which a story to tell can grow. history, to tell stories with technology cartography engaged e best days SF and am now In addition, I
