During my childhood, I discovered my fascination and talent for creating forms of art, explaining my enjoyment of being hands-on. I never had the patience to work hours upon hours to perfect a piece of art, so I took my skills and fascination to a less timely art form, cutting men’s hair.
I started by cutting my own hair. Learning how to cut hair was quite challenging. While learning the basics, I have to admit I messed my hair up a couple of times. It was a learning process. After improving, I became the barber of my friend group during my junior and senior years of high school in Milton, Georgia.
Throughout my freshman year of college, I have been cutting more and more people's hair. Some people refer to me as “Creswell Cuts” since I cut hair for many people within Creswell Hall at the University of Georgia. I am often spotted in the bathroom with my speaker blaring for the client; videos are probably circulating around. Yes, people video me while I cut hair. There is no shame in it though.
I also played soccer all throughout my childhood. Even though it has nothing to do with haircutting, it improved my overall discipline and patience that is now put forth toward haircutting.
That said, money is vital to a college student, and my little side hustle provides me with that money. The University of Georgia provided me with an opportunity to grow my empire.
