Driven higher education leader with nearly 20 years of experience advancing student success, equity, and institutional excellence. I recently earned my Master of Education in Enrollment Management and Policy from the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education, furthering my lifelong commitment to expanding educational access, particularly for underserved and first-generation college students.

Throughout my career, I’ve held a variety of roles in education, culminating in my current position as an Instructional Division Coordinator at Compton College. I specialize in strategic planning, enrollment management, and cross-campus collaboration to improve student retention, support services, and degree completion. I’m particularly passionate about developing holistic, equity-minded programs that meet students where they are and help them reach their full potential.

Before my work in higher education, I served as the Mayor of Cudahy, where I was recognized by the Los Angeles Times and Vista LA for my leadership and public service. My experiences in both government and education have given me a unique, systems-level perspective that I bring to every project.

I believe in leading with integrity, building strong partnerships, and staying grounded in the communities I serve. My goal is to continue shaping policies and practices that remove barriers and uplift every student’s journey.
