I am a higher education leader with nearly 20 years of experience advancing student success, equity, and institutional excellence. I currently serve as an Instructional Division Coordinator at Compton College, where I focus on strategic planning, enrollment management, and building programs that help first-generation and underserved students reach their full potential. I earned my Master of Education in Enrollment Management and Policy from USC's Rossier School of Education.

Before higher education, I served as Mayor of Cudahy, California, where I was recognized by the Los Angeles Times and Vista LA for my public service. That experience in local government gave me a systems-level perspective I still bring to education work today.

Outside of work, I am the voice behind The Altruistic Reader — a fantasy and sci-fi bookstagram fueled by coffee, big sagas, and the idea that journey before destination matters. You will usually find me reading epic fantasy, talking Wheel of Time, or hunting for the next book that feels like an adventure.
