I am a second year MAT student in the Middle Grades Ed. program at The University of Georgia. My primary area of interest is Mathematics with a minor emphasis in Social Studies. I am from Haddonfield, NJ a town right outside of Philadelphia, PA. I love running, playing soccer, and cooking. My passion for education came during my year of service with City Year Greater Philadelphia: an AmeriCorps program focused on decreasing our nations drop out rate by placing academic tutors and life mentors in under-funded middle and high schools. I hope to take my dedication to education and social justice into the mathematics classroom to develop students' problem solving skills through quantitative reasoning and exploratory based inquiry.
