Art has always played an essential role in my life. As a young girl I sat at my kitchen table and learned to draw by observing my surroundings. My childhood dream was to be an author and illustrator and I would practice developing these skills by writing and illustrating my own stories.
I've always been fascinated with the performing arts, but growing up as a shy child in Brick NJ it took me several years before I could muster the courage to go on stage.
In 2002 I entered Ocean County College in Tom's RIver NJ where I took courses in painting, drawing, and creative writing in the hope of becoming a Manga and Anime artist. But I still had a hunger to act so I finally took the quantum leap and enrolled in Intro to Acting 1 (improvisation) and 2 (scene study) based on Uta Hagen's Approach, and taught by Arthur Waldman and John Morris. In my Sophomore year I was cast in Eve Ensler's, "The Vagina Monologues". During this period I also did performance poetry in Belmar and Ocean Grove, New Jersey
In 2006 I contacted the Alan Gordon Studio and began taking private instruction in addition to the Meisner Technique, where I continue to study at the present time.
I also work privately with Erin Cronican of The Actor's Enterprise. Erin's expertise in the business of acting has been and continues to be immensely helpful. Her unique skills have provided me with essential tools for navigating my way through this very challenging field.
I am pleased to add that I have just finished shooting COPYING LIFE, where I was cast in the role of Mei, a webisode written and directed by Sage Suppa.
Although writing is still in my future plans I have chosen to focus on acting at the present time.
