I grew up in Italy, where we have a long tradition of working in gold. Florence, Vicenza and Valenza are the three main centers where gold jewelry is manufactured to be sold all over the world, and they're some of my favorite places.
The gold bug bit me very young. The first time I traded a custom earring for my sister's gold one something clicked. i decided trading was a lot of fun, and eventually turned it into a business. (My west-coast sister and I still swap jewelry, clothes, shoes and purses non-stop. Somehow it just never gets old!)
I believe there is gold in each of us, far more precious than the metal, that grows the more we share it.
