Cristy Gorospe
Student, Artist, and Musician
I am currently working as a voice coach and vocal performer while finishing up my bachelor’s degree in voice performance at University of Santo Tomas – Conservatory of Music (currently under the tutelage of Asst. Prof. Naomi Paz Nemenzo). I aim to improve and grow through music, enhance my musicianship, use techniques that helps me truly learn the ins and outs of my voice, allowing me to perform with the specific skills needed for different genres of music – classical opera, theater, pop, and other styles.
My passion for music started as soon as I had my first stage performance when I was in third grade. During my college years, I have always been performing during school programs as a solo singer or as a choir member. Currently, I am a member of Coro Tomasino as a Soprano 1. I also have experience working with both acoustic bands and marching bands. Aside from singing, I sometimes performed as a drummer, guitarist and pianist when needed. In my spare time, I also learned how to play the violin. I am currently the lead vocalist of Kitti’s Cradle, we won several competitions.
Music is a means to express myself, unleash my creativity and inspire others. That is why I perform, I teach, and I write music. I love the audience’s reactions whenever I perform. I find teaching as giving back to the world what life and music taught me. I believe that music raises the mood of anyone who listens to it. I believe that music can heal a broken soul.
