Kara Cronin

Oxford

I am an Irish cailín who moved from County Cork to Oxford in 2005 to pursue my ambitions of saving the world one person at a time.

I graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Higher Honors Degree in Occupational Therapy in Sept 2008 and have been working as an OT since then in many different areas, clinical and community based. I am currently working as a Senior OT/Line Manager with the Intermediate Care Services at Social Services in Berkshire which I love. I have many plans for the future of OT so watch this space...

I love to play team sports and have been an active member of Eire Og, gaelic football club in Oxford for 3 years now. I am currently the teams PRO and hope to promote Irish sport to all ages within Oxfordshire.

I love snowboarding and try to go at least once a year to the French Alps. I love to travel and try and visit as many places as my time and money will allow. I like to eat at nice restaurants and being around interesting, fun people. I enjoy listening to good music and spending time with my family and friends.

I enjoy getting involved in Charity Events and am looking forward to taking part in the Blenheim X5 run for Oxford Children's hospital on 10th March 2013. I have completed other charity events in the past such as the Pink Ribbon 10 Mile walk for breast cancer and "Wear your Pyjamas to work day" for children in need. I am also looking to complete a 10K and half marathon at the end of the year to raise money for Action Ability and Laureus.

I LOVE animals, particularly dogs. I want a dog so badly but as I work long hours and live in a flat I don't think it would be fair :-(. Anyone needing a dog sitter Let me know :-D.

I am really easy going and consider a BBQ on the beach with a few friends and a couple ciders my ideal way to spend an evening. I have aspirations of learning to surf. It will happen one day. :-)
