Hey everyone! I'm Dan the owner of Crossfit Strongtown located on 1432 Old Waterbury Rd in Southbury, CT 06488.
We're a CrossFit Gym, but I like to think we're the #1 Gym in Southbury because at most gyms you have some not so good things happening!
Here's my 3 reasons that most gyms are NOT effective for losing weight, getting in shape or getting your health back:
Reason #1: Community, going the the average gym whether it be Fitness Edge or Planet Fitness there’s no community. There’s simply a bunch of people exercising with their headphones on.
Reason #2: Good Exercises, finding the right exercise is key. Doing tricep kickbacks is a single joint exercise and doesn’t have the metabolism spiking ability that a deadlift or squat does.
Reason #3: Accountability, when you pay for something in the good old USA you get your money’s worth. So if you join a gym for 20 bucks a month then are you really that encouraged to get your money worth?
