Christoph Roman Schroeder

Bremen, Germany

There are two kinds of designers out there. The ones that are driven by skillfully combining form and function - design craftsmen - and the ones that are driven by questioning the status quo of pretty much everything around them and coming up with new ideas and solutions - design thinkers.
I started as a craftsman. Designing websites, shooting movies, creating advertisment, making illustrations and photography. Then I stopped using all of these acquired skills to produce tangible art and started using them to enhance my ideas. Ideas for new services, new products, new campaigns, new structures, etc. I worked in multidisciplinary teams, I focused on the user, I kept in mind that I am not designing for contests or showcases but for real people with real problems - I became a design thinker some may say.
