Passionate new media and personal branding executive.

With extensive experience in B2B marketing, social

media and HR consulting. Very focused on public speaking opportunities focused on topics ranging from Social Recruitment and Social Business to Personal Branding and Employee Engagement.

I've created a very simplified approach using analogies ie. "Fishing, Working Out and Partying" to articulate day to day tactical social media engagement. Here is a short Youtube video of a recent LinkedIn event I spoke at in NYC articulating my approach to Social Business Development:

Core beliefs:

• Content

• Community

• Creativity

• Conversation

Mantras:

Community engagement is driven by content and two way dialogue: Using online community groups such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter requires two-way dialogue and is largely driven by content that in turn creates value for your target audience/community.

Questions, opinions, advice and thought leadership, dynamic content (consumer generated video, peer perspective blogs, real-time polling) and consistency are key to driving successful community engagement.

HR IS THE NEW MARKETING: The emergence of new media is enabling employees to have their voices heard on a larger stage. Think of engaging employees in the same way you craft a consumer marketing strategy, though rather than securing buy-in for laundry detergent, cars or flat panel televisions, you are selling a wellness campaign, benefits open enrollment and career opportunities.

Measure, measure, measure: Creating benchmarks to measure campaign engagement is critical to success. If it's not measurable, then it cannot be improved. With tools ranging from Radian 6 to Social Mention, the ability to track online activity regarding online strength, frequency and reputation become integral to one's ability to market and succeed.
