Clarence Villanueva

As an Industry Analyst with Forrester Research, Clarence serves Sourcing & Vendor Management Professionals who want to increase the value they receive from their hardware suppliers. He provides trusted advice on negotiations, market and supplier trends, evaluation models, contract risk mitigation, price benchmarking, and OEM/channel positioning. His immediate focus is on iPads/tablets, laptops, desktops, servers, and emerging business devices, although he will also support IBM software licensing.

Clarence's research has been quoted in CIO Magazine, CFO World, Computerworld, ComputerWeekly, PC Advisor, ZDNet, and other leading publications. He has appeared as a regular speaker at Forrester Research Forums.

In his work with Fortune 500 companies, Clarence earned awards and recognition for outstanding customer service and high performance. At his last company, he served as a member of its IT Leadership Team headed by the CIO. This organization ranked 11th by InformationWeek, in its annual listing of the nation's most innovative users of business technology. His experience also includes building business cases and delivering them to executive stakeholders.

Clarence graduated from DePaul University in Finance with graduate studies at the University of Chicago in Finance and Strategy. In his spare time, Clarence served as the Concertmaster for the Illini Symphony Orchestra as well as various orchestras. He supports various community non-profit organizations, including the Executives' Club of Chicago, Asian-Pacific American groups, and has led donation efforts to supplement the educational costs of underprivileged children in the Philippines.
