When people ask about me, I never quite know what to say. I live a very sweet and simple life with my soul mate, husband, and best friend, whom I met when I was only 15 years old. Who knew that the popular boy who didn't know my name would change my world and grow old with me?
We have two incredible children, our son and daughter, whom we've lovingly nicknamed Monster and Pudge. Too soon our terms of endearment will evolve into more mature, proper, nicknames (perhaps that don't embarrass them all to pieces), but for now our little ones are still so small and love their given names.
My life wasn't always so full of love and inspiration, and as a child I promised myself that I would learn from my surroundings and never let my children go without love, support, kindness, or respect. Such simple things are often taken for granted, and I spent the better part of my life searching for these qualities. I am so grateful to know that my children have the father that I'd always dreamed of, that they will always have strong arms to fall into, and will forever be surrounded by the same unconditional love that my mother taught me to give.
In the middle of every moment of my life was my ever loving God, reaching out His hand and wildly trying to grasp my attention. Over the years I've learned to hear Him, even when it feels like He's only whispering, and my life has finally been resculpted, restored and renewed. I'm not who I once was, and I'll never be that version of myself again.
thank Jesus.
The Crystal you'll find now is a mommy. A wife. The healer of owies and defender of bad dreams. The voice of misguided "reason", with well-known catchphrases such as, "I'm not dramatic, I'm passionate!" and, "I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being realistic!"
I love coffee and thai food, I'm musically trained- instrument of choice being the ol' vocal c(h)ords (see what I did there?), I once lived my life memorizing scripts and pouring my soul out on stage in front of hundreds of people, and ran around on sets of hit tv shows and movies as a professional extra. I've finally settled and made a career running a growing photography company, Resurrected Photography, photographing the most beautiful moments in time for clients that quickly become friends and loved ones.
