Crystal Parker

A native of Alabama, Crystal attended The University of Mississippi (Class of 2009), earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Communications. After graduation, Crystal's career took a surprising turn and she became interested in Higher Education. She began working at The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2010 as the Financial Aid Office Assistant. Within a year, she was promoted to the position of Veterans Education Benefits Coordinator, her current position. She is responsible for assisting veterans and/or their dependents with applying and using federal VA educational benefits. After a three-year hiatus, Crystal went back to school in 2012 to pursue a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education at The University of West Alabama. She completed her degree in July 2014. In October 2014, Crystal accepted a postion as an Academic Advisor for the College of Engineering at The University of Alabama.

She is passionate about Higher Education (primarily Academic Advising and Student Affairs, but is not limited to those areas) and working with college students and wants to help them succeed.

Crystal enjoys reading (both intellectual literature and fun fiction), listening to music, and engaging in meaningful conversations with family, friends, and colleagues.
