My two Siberian Huskies (oh and my husband too) are my world. It started with my mother who would have any pet imaginable. She has been a vet tech and a groomer for as long as I can remember. If any animal needed a home she was sure to open hers, think…goat, squirrel and turtle amongst the multiple dogs and cats. In those days, our pets were reserved for our private, in-home entertainment and LOVE!

I am happy to see that times they are a-changin’ and more and more people are treating their pets like their 4-legged children. I have always wanted a world where my pets could travel, dine, and attend events with me without prejudice. Obviously this would be much easier if we had a couple of adorable toy poodles but we still bring the “beasts”, “huskies”, “pain in the...” (I mean all of those nicknames with LOVE) on road trips and date nights. They are well behaved in public, our house and car are akin to romper room, but in public they are polite and pleasant. They are basically celebrities in our city we are just the pooper-scoopers and the dog-walkers, mere HUUUUUMANS.

RoamingTails is the brainchild of a friend and colleague who travels often with her miniature dachshund, FlipFlop. I am thrilled to be working with the team to bring you a site that will allow everyone to locate their lost pets, find pet sitters while traveling, book pet-friendly hotels, find pet-friendly events and venues, and make the 58 million people who travel with their pets lives easier.
