Founded in 2007 by Crystal Hines, AMMO Magazine continues on its mission to fill the void of curated art based on content that celebrates people of color. The style blog, originally based in New York, is rooted in Crystal’s create art roots. Vested in her roots, Crystal has been able to relaunch AMMO Magazine with the support of a budding team with its first ever art issue in 2011.

Since AMMO Magazine’s relaunch, Crystal has worked tirelessly to transform AMMO into a key player in the world of art and curation. She prides herself and the platform on providing artists with a way to launch and solidify their careers while reaching uncharted audiences. Through interviews, gallery features, both national and international coverage, AMMO Magazine has assisted in leveraging the voices and art within its community. In doing so, AMMO provides arts and culture news through a weekly newsletter which lists a variety of local openings, artists updates and much more to its subscribers.

AMMO Magazine creates a dialogue that transcends beyond the borders of art mediums such as film, music, and design. Infusing new and classic arts through digital spaces, AMMO continues to deliver a progressive and diverse look at contemporary art with a heightened awareness of society and culture.
