Crystal Ki

Born and raised in Wilmington, NC since January 9th, 1991, Crystal is currently a sophomore at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. She is majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Medical Anthropology. Aside from research in the UNC Department of Medicine and involvement in UNC organizations: GlobeMed, Triangle Dance Festival for AIDs, Blank Canvas, and InterVarsity, Crystal enjoys the simplicity of listening to the cool ocean breeze, hitting aces on the tennis courts, mentoring the kids of family friends, and performing recreational violin sessions.

Crystal has been overwhelmingly blessed with a loving family providing her with the opportunities to visit her relatives in Malaysia and Hong Kong. The global exposure doesn't stop there, however. She has touched foot on every continent except for Antarctica- one which is on the Bucket List. During the summer of 2011, Crystal will spend 8 weeks in Gulu, Uganda working alongside Health Alert Uganda and the other 3 girls of GlobeMed-UNC's GROW team to develop and execute sustainable grass roots programs.
