Crystal Mark
Crystal Mark is a professional Community Developer, Speaker and Writer.
A resident of Ward 5 for over 30 years, Crystal has been working as Community Developer, Advocate and Connector. Passionate about Mississauga. Crystal Mark has worked to connect, advocate and mobilize residents to strengthen and develop the communities of Ward 5.
In her own words: "Together, we can accomplish anything. Our community is able to envision and access opportunities if we are prepared to meet each other where we are, collaborate and connect. I've been rolling up my sleeves in service alongside our most creative and committed community members for years. The fruits of our labour is a vibrant, healthy community where individuals, children, families and seniors thrive."

- Middle Years Programs and Engagement
- Equity at City Hall
- Neighborhood Beautification
- Camaraderie within Ward 5
- Strengthened collaboration between local service groups
- Increasing connection between neighbours
- Safety audits and increased resident responsiveness
- Greater Business buy-in and community development
Crystal Mark has worked as a developer, writer, consultant, counselor, educator and advocate with: Malton Moms- SAVIS of Halton- METRAC- Malton Neighbourhood Services- Open the Door at Region of Peel- BCAN- Massey Centre for Women- Mercedes-Benz- Health and Racism Working Group (HaR)- Bramalea Community Health Centre- Rexdale Community Health Centre- in collaboration with other groups such as The Meet Your Neighbour Day Committee, Family Education Centre, The Malton Community Building Project, Malton Womens Council and Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS).
Crystal Mark has been published by The Journal of The Association for Research on Mothering (ARM, now MIRCI) and Sumach Press. Crystal is currently writing the column, Everyday Advocacy, at www.crystalmark.ca
