Crystal Slaughter

I have been in education for twenty-three years, thirteen of which were in the classroom. I am presently blessed with the opportunity to serve the Malden R-1 School District as the Instructional Technology Coordinator, Student Information Administrator, Infinite Campus Admin, and Elementary Math Coach.

As the Instructional Technology Coordinator, I manage student accounts, create personalized professional development, and support the staff in innovating the classroom.

As the Elementary Math Coach, I am the go-to person for math! I enjoy helping our staff work as a team, utilizing data to make strong decisions, and helping students develop into assessment-capable learners.

Learning and sharing drive me. Positive outlook and helping others to embrace their strengths is vital. Empowering staff and students through support is necessary. Implementing the latest technology in both curriculum development and teaching with a grounding in solid pedagogy and a heart for kids is the goal.

My passion is teaching, my interest is technology integration. The art of education and technology go hand in hand. Technology will never replace sound teaching, but imagine the possibilities of embracing it.
