Catherine Shteynberg

I am a museum professional with seven years of curatorial, social media/marketing, research, publishing, and educational positions in major archives and museums.

I currently am an assistant curator and develop and implement public outreach and social media strategy for the Frank H. McClung Museum at University of Tennessee. I previously worked at the Smithsonian Institution Archives, the Smithsonian Photography Initiative, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College.

My background is in art and anthropology/material culture and I have a particular interest in museums and community building, photography and visual anthropology, culture and cultural heritage sites, and the social life of objects.
